Educational Assistant (1 year term)

We are seeking student-focused educational assistants for the upcoming 2025 school year. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative environment with designated student, classroom teacher, student services teacher, and administrators.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Grade 12 education
• Knowledge and experience working with children and adolescents
• A responsible and reliable individual
• Ability to engage students in academics and life skills pursuits
• Enthusiasm for the learning process
• Experience working in a classroom setting would be an asset

Responsibilities

• Willingness to aid in the delivery of program components developed by the classroom teacher and student services teacher
• Willingness to complete individualized sessions in speech and language
• Ability to maintain confidentiality is required
• Assist students to achieve IPP goals
• Participate in school based collaborative meetings
• Maintain up to date records and documents
• Engage in professional development as it relates to various roles in supporting student learning and professional growth
• Supervise students in all locations in which learning takes place
• Commitment to extra-curricular activities and possible bus duty
• Be punctual and reliable
